30 and half bottles....

Wednesday saw us down at the Wine and Stein with Crazy Mike bottling our Gru-Vee. It was a bit of a battle to actually get the wine into the bottles as Mike regalled us with endless stories of Chicago (70's rock band, not musical) Shania Twain (Shaun didn't mind that bit so much) and various alcohol fuelled escapades... and we deliberately turned up at 11am thinking that the 'sampling' wouldn't have started yet but oh no...not a chance!

We had a quick sample which Mike had aged on a magnet so we would get an idea of what it would taste like after 6 months....ha ha...like its going to last that long! But very palatable which is just as well as we now have 30.5 bottles of the stuff...
So all bottled and corked we took them home and added the labels for that professional touch... apparently we need to leave it a month to mature before drinking....so we have to be good,.,,

Shaun has also got a couple of 3l bottles of beer on the go in the cupboard - you just put a yeast tablet in the bottle, add a pressure cap and 2 weeks later ......beer. Shaun did had a small sample in the shop however the somewhat gassy nature of the product was only revealed later in the evening...oh joy!

All our little babies.....
