After the hike we continued up the forest road to investiage gorgeous Beaver Lake. This is renowned for trout fishing and has little wooden cabins on the lake shore you can rent and, please take note ladies, a day spa!
The dogs (one was out of shot rolling in the snow like a crazy thing) greeted us and gave a bit of tug on the heart strings Otter-wise......

Its fab - and that's just the one nearest by - and is relatively commercial (ie a bar!) there is a whole network of lakes beyond this which you can reach on the forest roads and just camp and fish... great for the summer as gets to 36C+ for a couple of weeks in July so you can escape the heat up here...couple of beers or a bottle of wine cooling at the lake shore....
