Mission Creek

Sunday (16th) saw us out again with the Lake Country Outdoors Club - this time going south of us to the Mission Creek Greenway. This runs right alongside Kelowna but we did the more wild section out of town.

There were about 15 on the hike and we met a nice Kiwi couple who have been in Bristol and Cardiff for 2 years and then came to BC when their visas ran out. We swapped skiing stories and fixed up some skiing in Big White.
This was the mid point, the whole area floods in the spring with the snow melt but when we were there it was full of bear poo....but no bears...

One of the ladies said that all her time of hiking (20years) has not seen a bear or mountain lion. So a lowly critter count - a couple of squirrels, 1 small dog and lots of bear poo
