We hope S had a good time in Berlin and seeing the folks afterwards. We expect he's back waiting for the call to the fire service again. We hope he didn't miss any excitement while he was away. I loved the Nolan's cheese add. A Irene is a regular setter of traps as we have a rat in the garden. On this occasion she caught 2 mice, claerly they have not been fed on Nolans. They were lying next to the trap ready for disposal and have disappeared so probably food for the maggies or crows. The next night the trap disappeared so we are looking for it on the leg/tail of a rat or something even larger!! To date no success.
We have just returned from two weeks in St Lucia where the temp has been in the mid thirties. we arrived back at 4.30 a.m. due to a tail wind and found Gatwick had not opened so circled over head until 5 We were met and stayed with cousin Cath in her new home and saw the snow fall so quite a contrast. We went to Elleanor's leavers musical in which she had a speaking/dancing/singing role. Please tell her friend Otter that she performed very well.
I telephoned your Dad on his birthday to find he was not there so left my version of 'Happy Birthday' on his answer machine. He has been receiving his state pension now for 1 year so is getting used to the extra income. More for his whiskey fund. We understand he may well be visiting for a few weeks in the summer so something for you to look forward to. We are picking mum and he up in southampton to attend our brother Nigel and A. Sylvia's golden wedding celebrations on 16th April.
Thanks for keeping us up to date. Heard that we beat the russian men in the curling finals last night so at least 1 for us! Well done the Scots National team. LOL AI&UMxxxx
